INDIAN FEDERATION OF UNIVERSITY WOMEN'S ASSOCIATIONS
Indian Federation of University Women's Associations (IFUWA) is a non-profit, non governmental organization (NGO), without party, political or religious bias affiliated to the International Federation of University Women (IFUW), Geneva, and is member of SAARCFUW and UW Asia.
IFUW advocacy groups enlist support from national affiliates on issues of current importance.
Bina Roy Partners in Development Programme (BRPID) involves five continents. It fosters international solidarity and partnership between IFUW and local associations through the National Federations. The purpose of this project is to empower women by focusing on issues related to women.
IFUWA initiates Dr Bina Roy Memorial Research Fellowship for the women post graduates every three years. Preference is given to candidates already registered to any recognized university within India for a PhD. Degree. Of course, the theme of the thesis should delve into significant women issues with a socio-economic perspective.
IFUWA has launched the IFUWA Conference 2007 Scholarship for women graduates with almost same terms and conditions as of Dr Bina Roy Memorial Research Fellowship.
